Over Queer Art Club

Queer Art Club is a place for members of the LGBTQIAP+ community to get creative. Queer Art Club organises bottom-up workshops and events that focus on the connection of queer people within the community. In this project, we guide and encourage mainly young queer people to shape their experiences as a queer person through artistic expression, creation and community. The combination of art, culture, dialogue, personal development and community are central. In this way we offer young people easy access to a social network that can support them in self-development and connecting to others through their queer identity.

We organise frequent workshops and community events where we focus on an artistic approach to our queer identity. The art we make is different every time, it ranges from craft to fine art, from digital to analogue. Since the Queer Art Club is organised from a bottom-up principle, everyone has the opportunity to share a lesson on the art-form they are passionate about. In this way we create a non-hierarchical structure that enables creative juices to flow freely.
