NIP activities can roughly be described as "Enable & Ensure, if possible secure, the operational status of OSI layers 0-7 whilst obeying all OSI layers above". - Creative resource deployment in the Information Technology; do a lot with little funding/resources. - Screening & Surveying Infrastructure and identify improvement opportunities & cost reduction opportunities with the physical infrastructure and the virtual processes; do a lot (more) with less money (not less people) - Manage/Operate IT Infrastructure/network clouds - Solve IT Problems & Puzzles - find Waldo, the Gremlins and make the problem go away. - Tailored / custom design & engineering, incorporating all of the above. - Collect, Harvest, Document, Exchange, Share & Transfer knowledge. - Find & explore what may be specialty/niche products today, but what will be mainstream tomorrow - Forecast the Future, if possible create the future.
