We came to a point in which the term “digital” do not refers only to objects we daily use, but technology is increasingly interconnected within us to the extent that we can describe our current society, as a Digital Society.

But what does that mean and which features it carries with? Opponents of technology might see it as a threat but it only occurs as such when there is not enough transparency and digital literacy.

I believe we are shaping a scenario in which everyone should be aware of the surrounding digital environment. The bad effects are not concretely visible, but this doesn’t mean that an actual bad impact is not happening.

In every aspect of society, technology has its fundamental role: from Economy to Art, from Politics to Sports, Culture, Education… Digital tools play a specific role in how we interact with the world; hence, they contribute to the development of the society.

Have you ever thought about how the digital space has change our perception of time and space? I like to define us as a limitless society, but is this truly true? Can robots be the next step that will make us win the only uncontrollable obstacle: death? So, how the digital relate to humankind and how has change the communication, interaction among us? Are the changes that happen with digitalization comparable to the industrialism?

@touchithub aims at giving to every user a digital experience about what it is like to live in a Digital Age. I want you to familiarise with some concepts and to being able in the end to be critical about the place we live and we will live in.
