When you migrate away from standard hosting packages and over to Virtual Machines you enter into a completely different infrastructure.

Typically standard hosting is all about sharing a server and all of its resources. This means you are potentially vulnerable to the other business owners who have poor virus protection or use up all of the server resources.

Shared servers - shared resources - even though they may offer unlimited storage - it’s not true because they restrict your number of files - so if you have a few years of emails or start uploading 1TB files - they will quickly cut you off and demand you upgrade.

As your business begins to grow - you need more services - performance and security.

Also, SUPPORT is critical - you typically start off with the lowest level of support and if they can’t fix your problem you are escalated to a senior engineer. Then you wait for these senior engineers to catch up on their workload and get to your case number ticket.
