ASA International is one of the world’s largest microfinance institutions, driving financial inclusion across Asia and Africa. Our mission: empower low-income women entrepreneurs by delivering affordable, socially responsible financial services that transform businesses, households, and communities.

We operate in 13 countries, serving 2.5+ million clients through over 2,200 branches, with a gross loan portfolio north of USD 539 million and a dedicated team of more than 14,000 staff (as of 30 June 2025).

At our core is the ASA Model — a proven, cost-efficient microfinance approach. It’s decentralized, standardized, scalable, and socially accountable. Key features include collateral-free loans for income-generating activities, strict repayment before new loans, market-based interest, and branch-level decision-making to keep operations lean and responsive.
