Alfa Gears is a Dutch, privately owned manufacturer specializing in heavy-duty manual quarter-turn gearboxes for butterfly valves, ball valves, and dampers, with torque capacities up to 90,000 Nm.

All ALFA GEARS gearboxes comply with IP68 or IP67 protection standards and are designed for reliable operation under demanding industrial conditions. The gearboxes feature high-efficiency planetary reduction gearing and a robust ductile iron housing. Critical components include a ductile iron worm gear, heat-treated and precision-ground worm, and stainless steel input shafts, ensuring durability, accuracy, and long service life.

Standard construction includes oil-impregnated copper-nickel steel alloy bushings, silicone rubber seals, AF 120 gaskets, and stainless steel fasteners. The design ensures low input torque, high mechanical efficiency, and a rugged, maintenance-friendly construction. Optional removable output drive sleeves and a high-performance epoxy polyurethane coating further enhance versatility and corrosion resistance.
