About Water as Leverage
Water as Leverage, initiated by the Netherlands government, is a proven approach for catalyzing just and sustainable urban water and climate resilience. It is an inclusive design-driven approach to develop, finance and implement projects that cut across sectoral and administrative boundaries, thereby across SDG’s. With programmes in Asia: Chennai (India), Khulna (Bangladesh) and Semarang (Indonesia); Cartagena (Colombia) and currently, preparations for Water as Leverage Nakuru for a Resilient Sponge City, to prepare for the first WaL in Africa.
