The Van Gogh Sites Foundation (previously known as Van Gogh Heritage Foundation) has been set up in North-Brabant to maintain and manage Vincent van Gogh’s heritage and to make it accessible in a sustainable and appropriate manner. The Foundation will play a central, coordinating and directing role for the Van Gogh Brabant brand and Van Gogh Vastgoed (Real Estate) NV. Now everyone can become the joint owner of a Van Gogh Monument.

Vincent van Gogh in Brabant Van Gogh is a world icon. Everyone has heard of him. His work and large parts of the story of his life inspire people’s imagination at all levels, right up to the present day. Van Gogh inspires people to create by themselves, immerse themselves, develop businesses or go travelling.

Vincent van Gogh, one of the most loved artists in the world, was born and bred in the Dutch province of North-Brabant. Apart from his legacy of pictures and letters, many locations are inextricably linked to him. Rural scenes, buildings and themes from his period in Brabant form the subject of his works, even in his later period in France. The physical locations in Brabant, which form part of the heritage of one of Brabant’s most famous people, are being acquired and supported through an ambitious project, so they can be passed on to future generations. The Van Gogh Heritage Foundation, the Province of North Brabant, the Van Gogh municipalities and the Erfgoedalliantie Brabant (Brabant Heritage Alliance) have joined forces to put this important piece of heritage on the map and to keep it there.

The aim of the Van Gogh Sites Foundation is: > To maintain and share the Van Gogh heritage in Brabant with the rest of the world now, and in the immediate and distant future. > To increase the social and economic significance of Vincent van Gogh for the Province of Brabant.
