About Urban Solutions BV

Urban Solutions is an international development company that tackles the most pressing and challenging issues in urban environments. Established in 2003 with offices in Den Haag, Bangkok and Hanoi, we operate under the RMA Group whose network spans over 22 countries. Our extensive project experience and global network of experts allows us to deliver innovative solutions for developing countries and transitional economies. We work with governments, international and bilateral organisations including UNDP, World Bank and ADB to offer a range of technical, advisory, training and management services across four sectors: Policy and Management We assess national urban development sector policies, planning documents, thematic sector works and relevant laws and regulations to provide methodological, institutional and policy recommendations. Planning and Design We engage with cities to translate their ‘vision’ into strategic plans for urban development and/or revitalization. We take a fully integrated approach to urban planning, by engaging national & municipal government, sectoral authorities, local government, the private sector, civil society, and other stakeholders to provide realistic, cost effective urban solutions. Infrastructure Development Urban Solutions provides technical support to cities in developing sustainable and resilient municipal infrastructure to improve livability and economic competitiveness in cities, whilst also providing opportunities for environmental enhancement and addressing social inequity. Housing, Heritage and Renewal Urban Solutions provides advice to local and national governments on urban regeneration and the management and supply of housing given the challenges of concentrated urban deprivation and other social, economic, political and environmental factors.
