About Theater De Regentes

De Regentes is een bruisend theater voor en door de buurt, gevestigd in een voormalig zwembad uit 1920. De Regentes is een van de acht Haagse Cultuurankers. In het theater vinden gedurende het theaterseizoen een groot aantal verschillende voorstellingen plaats, van jazz tot toneel en van ukkieconcerten tot flamenco. Ook vinden er regelmatig andere kunst- en cultuuractiviteiten plaats. Daarnaast bevindt zich in het theater ook een tearoom (met wifi) waar bezoekers van maandag t/m vrijdag binnen kunnen lopen voor een lekker kopje koffie of een broodje. Het monumentale pand vormt daarmee in Segbroek een werk- en ontmoetingsplek waar de culturele kracht van de buurt bij elkaar komt. De Grote Zaal beschikt over 360 stoelen en is geschikt voor theatervoorstellingen, congressen en recepties. Door de inschuifbare tribune is de ruimte uiterst flexibel in te richten.

Daarnaast zijn er voor kleinere evenementen bijzondere ruimtes: Kleine Zaal, Ketelhuis, Het Diepe en Studio. ____________________________________________________________

The beautiful building that houses theater De Nieuwe Regentes dates from 1920. It once housed the largest indoor swimming pool and baths in Europe.

De Regentes is now a neighborhood theater with a broad mix of community, local and international programming. There is a tearoom, two foyers, and 5 halls: De Grote Zaal (the former swimming pool hall) is the largest space and offers 360 seats.
