About SV Avicenna
Studentenvereniging Avicenna is een multiculturele vereniging voor alle studenten aan het Erasmus MC en de Erasmus Universiteit te Rotterdam. De vereniging bestaat sinds 1996 en is vernoemd naar de wetenschapper en geleerde Ibn Sina, een islamitische arts wiens uitvindingen cruciaal zijn geweest voor belangrijke ontwikkelingen in de geneeskunde. Binnen Avicenna wordt er dan ook continu gezocht naar raakvlakken tussen medische wetenschap, ethische kwesties en de islamitische visie daarop.
