About Signum Infirma
Strategic agility and anticipative capabilities are more important than ever. Across various levels and disciplines, we aim to detect threats sooner than we currently do and ahead of our opponents. Therefore, from a management perspective, weak signals are receiving increasing attention in various fields including economics, politics, security, and safety. Weak signals serve as early warnings of unexpected events but are often misinterpreted. I study how our brain interprets signals and changes. I work with concepts such as social synchronisation, resonance, interoception and active inference. The basic premise is that the brain is a prediction machine that constantly makes predictions to minimise uncertainty. Proto signals are interoceptive errors that predict the present. Thanks to proto-signals, the body and mind sense change earlier than our awareness; We notice something is not right before we acknowledge a weak signal! This is my area of research.
