About Redefine Arts

Redefine Arts aims to reach youth (ages 9-18) in the city of Amsterdam who have less opportunity due to their living condition or emotional or mental situation. Through the approach of afternoon and evening art mentorship programs, we aim to not only teach art skills but also to use the art to talk about deeper subjects in life. Our students come first -- their personal and artistic process lead the program while staff plays a supporting role in their development. Throughout the program, we create opportunities for art excursions and to learn from different artists. We also have student art exhibitions for them to show others their work and to give them a platform where they can influence their city.
