The Department of Precision Medicine is a disease and discipline-agnostic department with international group of highly motivated researchers, focusing on “Convergence Sciences”: the integration of Medical Sciences, Technology and Biology both within and beyond the context of oncology. The Department of Precision Medicine consists of three divisions working in a convergent manner:

1) The D-Lab employs AI techniques (such as machine learning) and advanced quantitative image analysis methods to bring precision medicine closer to clinical implementation (see www.radiomics.world)

2) The M-Lab is a basic science and translational research laboratory performing wet lab work focused on targeting the tumor microenvironment

3) Clinical Trial Unit (CTU) is a team of Clinical Trial Managers that initiate, coordinate, and manage interventional and non-WMO clinical trials. The Department of Precision Medicine is embedded in the Research Institute GROW and the Faculty of Health Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML) at Maastricht University.
