For many people, it is really hard to join conversations in a noisy environment. Wearing hearing aids often worsens the situation, because these amplify all sounds in the room. Impaired hearers avoid these environments. Pearing is developing a device that filters noises from the voices at the table using multiple microphones and an AI-algorithm. Users can connect their own hearing aid or regular earbuds wirelessly with the shared table-microphone. Restaurants, elderly homes and other public spaces can restore accessibility by offering this device as a service, increasing comfort for their guests.
