The Dutch Scientific Society for Sexology (NVVS) is established in 1981 as a scientific society for professionals who professionally involved in sexology. The NVVS is active in the field of the quality of sex-counseling, awareness, prevention- and education and scientific research. The objectives of the society are: - Expediting: quality, experience sharing, coordination and the necessary fundraising. - Solicited and unsolicited advice to sexological relevant issues. - Expediting national and international contacts in the field of sexology and related fields. - Maintaining and keeping records of qualified sexologists. The NVVS counts approx. 650 members working in different disciplines: psychology, general medicine, social work, education, physiotherapy.
