About Lorentz Center

The Lorentz Center organizes workshops in all scientific disciplines. The 5-day Lorentz Center workshop format, with ample time for discussions and collaboration, has proven to be especially suited for organizing interdisciplinary endeavors, including those bridging the arts and sciences.

The Lorentz Center facilitates and funds international scientific workshops at two venues Lorentz Center@omega, for up to 55 participants, and Lorentz Center@lambda, for up to 25 participants; both in Leiden, the Netherlands. We facilitate more than 70 such workshops per year, each bringing together researchers from different countries, fields of interest and levels of seniority in an informal but professionally organized environment. An experienced staff manages the organizational aspects of the workshops.

Researchers, from any country, interested in organizing a workshop are invited to contact us with their idea.
