About JPOP Foundation

The J-POP Foundation (Stichting Promotie Japanse Popcultuur) is the organiser of AnimeCon, the Netherlands’ longest-running convention celebrating Japanese pop culture, including anime, manga, gaming, merchandise, and music. Since 1999, AnimeCon has grown into a three-day international festival that welcomes tens of thousands of fans, artists, and industry professionals each year.

Our mission is to provide a space where fans of Japanese pop culture can come together to explore, create, learn, and grow, both personally and as a community. Through unique experiences and content, we inspire the evolution of fan culture.

Beyond AnimeCon, the J-POP Foundation actively supports and collaborates with cultural initiatives that celebrate Japanese culture. Our services also include translations and advice on Japan and related events. We have ample knowledge of and hands-on experience with Japan and all aspects of its culture.
