About Holland Onion Association

Holland Onion Association (HOA) forms part of the Fresh Produce Centre, the umbrella trade organization of the Dutch fruit and vegetable sector and looks after the interests of onion processors, traders and exporters. HOA focuses primarily on promoting the competitiveness of the Dutch onion processing chain by offering its members joint and individual services and looking after their interests at a national and international level. The Netherlands generates an annual Holland Onion crop volume of 1.3 million tons, of which 1 million tons is exported; making it by far the major product of the Dutch vegetable sector. At this moment in time the world export market share of the Holland onion is over 20%; this means that our Holland Onion is the absolute global market leader.
