About HENK the HeRo
Vanuit de minor Zorg Technologie van de Hogeschool Rotterdam is een project opgezet om een robot te ontwikkelen dat laag in de kosten uitkomt maar wel zo functioneel mogelijk is. In het 20 weken durende project is HENK ontstaan. HENK staat voor Hulpmiddel Emotie Nabootsende Knuffel en is ontworpen om kinderen met het Autisme Spectrum Syndroom te helpen bij de ontwikkeling van de sociale vaardigheden en is met name gericht op het oefenen van het herkennen van emoties en hoe ze daar, met zichzelf en bij andere mee om kunnen gaan.
