About European Association of Organic Geochemists

The European Association of Organic Geochemists (EAOG) was founded in 1983 and is based in The Hague. The organisation pursues a global agenda, with strong European roots and international membership. EAOG brings together academic and corporate scientists who discover and apply organic geochemical tools to the interconnected fields of past and present climate science, petroleum exploration and production, and environmental studies.

We convene International Meetings every two years. The latest information on current and future meetings at www.eaog.org/IMOG.

The EAOG has over 450 members and it is still increasing. You don’t have to be European to be a member of the EAOG. Our members come from around the globe – the Americas, Asia, Australasia, Africa and Europe – currently over 50 countries in all. You can find more information on our Membership page.

The Articles of the European Association of Organic Geochemists are available in both English and Dutch. The Dutch text of the Articles is binding.
