At the Clara Maria Cheese Farm & Clog Factory the van Wees family carries on the traditional crafts of making world renowned Gouda cheese and old-fashioned wooden shoes. Set in the pastoral polder landscape just southwest of Amsterdam, this historic 150-year old farm creates an inviting atmosphere for visitors to step back into old-world charm. The original barn has been charmingly transformed into the wooden shoe factory and the cheese making room with a spacious, nostalgic gift shop where the walls are lined with Gouda cheeses of various flavors and sizes along with fanciful wooden shoes. Here visitors are delighted to find quaint Dutch souvenirs ranging from traditional Delft Blue ceramics to cheese plates, mugs, and kitchen linens featuring quintessential Dutch landscapes.

We are pleased to offer tours of our cheese and clog making, along with cheese making workshops, educational & interactive school excursions, children's birthday parties, and corporate excursions.
