ājīva is a privately held company consisting of ājīva holdings, ājīva consulting and ājīva ventures.

In the early years ājīva was involved in a number of individual and team-based consulting projects and entrepreneurial efforts - a Social Networking web start-up, a Spanish gaming-industry offshoring exploration, a developing-world GPS-navigation logistics venture, a number of African offshore-services capability assessments, a toy-industry retail franchise study for the NL market and a web-based document due diligence services start-up targeting the finance industry - the latter becoming KYCnet BV in late 2008.

KYCnet grew from a 2-person start-up to over 160 specialists in Amsterdam and additional teams in the UK and India. KYCnet was acquired by Equiniti in 2016.

Of late, ājīva has focused on investment, board and founder management support for innovators in the fintech, blockchain, life sciences, marketing and entertainment space - with a growing focus on sustainability, green transition and social impact.

Recent activities have included investment and involvement in a number of fintech companies in London and New York, a blockchain / mobility (Maas) start-up based in Amsterdam and Bali, a high-end electric guitar manufacturer in Nashville, Tennessee and a consumer / business sentiment expression smartphone app firm in Amsterdam, as well as several life sciences initiatives in Amsterdam and Dublin.
